§ 02 · The workshop

A 560 m² valve workshop, not a man with a van.

Most of our work happens on a client's plant. The work that comes back to base, refurbishment, lapping, pressure-testing, sandblasting, has a dedicated home in Maraisburg, Roodepoort.

§ 03 · Inspection & testing

NDT, MPT and thickness testing, done with the AIA, not around them.

Performed by certified technicians.Witnessed where required.

    Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

    Detection of weld and material defects in pressure-containing equipment without taking the asset out of service. Performed in collaboration with certified AIA bodies where required.

  2. 02

    Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT)

    Surface and near-surface flaw detection on ferromagnetic components, boiler shells, manhole rings, vessel headers, using wet-fluorescent and dry-powder methods.

    ASME Sec V Art 7Yoke & coil techniques.
  3. 03

    Thickness testing on pressure vessels

    Ultrasonic wall-thickness measurement on shells, heads and piping to track corrosion allowance and confirm fitness for continued service before recertification.

  4. 04

    Steam valve testing & certification

    Functional, set-pressure and seat-tightness testing of safety, control and isolation valves, with traceable certificates produced from the workshop test bench.

  5. 05

    Safety valve inspection & recalibration

    Removal, inspection, lapping, reassembly and recalibration of steam safety valves to the original set pressure, the line of defence between an over-pressurised vessel and your people.

§ 04 · Valve supply & refurbishment

We hold agency agreements for the valves you can't find locally.

Where possible, we refurbish the valve you have. Where not, we supply a new or imported equivalent, sourced through our import / export agency for steam valves and pressure equipment.

§ 05 · Statutory framework

We work to OHS Reg 17, by the book and by the calendar.

The Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulation 17 (Vessels Under Pressure) set the rhythm: 12 / 24 / 36-month windows, AIA witness, compliant documentation. We don't reinterpret it. We just deliver to it.
